Foam attack on Lindner: Scandal in the election campaign in Greifswald!

On January 9, 2025, Christian Lindner, FDP party chairman and former Federal Finance Minister, was attacked during his election campaign evening in Greifswald with a cake filled with soap foam. The incident occurred during a speech in front of around 130 guests in Z4 (Center for Life Science and Plasma Technology).

The perpetrator, 34-year-old Christiane Kiesow, member of the Peene-Uecker-Ryck left-wing district association and active with the left youth in Greifswald, got the cake out of her handbag and threw Lindner in the face: "I think it is enough now." Overall, various supporters from Kiesow were present in the event situation who threw flyers into the air during the incident.
