cinema industry in change
While the cinemas in Germany recorded a decline in visitor numbers in 2024, the interest in search for cinema remains strong regardless of the challenges of the Corona period. According to Statista , about 90.1 million visitors were counted, which means a decline of over five million compared to the previous year. The industry has gone through a lot in recent years, but the number of cinemas has remained comparatively stable with over 1,720 and around 738,200 available seats.
Despite the recent declines, cinema culture has an eye on the international market, in particular through successful film publications such as "Inside Out 2" (everything is head 2), which recorded almost $ 1.7 billion in 2024 and thus won the title of the most successful animated film ever. The cinema worlds in Germany are still a significant part of society and everything indicates that the love for films and outdoor kinesthetics will continue to exist in the future.
