The Günzhalle Kötz has brought a spectacular event to shake! The Schützengau Günzburg-Land celebrated its 100th anniversary with a grandiose ceremony that focused on the tradition and future of the rifle system. With proud flags and the rifle kings at the top, the clubs marched into the hall, a sight that made the hearts of the spectators beat faster. From modest 74 members at the foundation, the Gau has grown to an impressive 3200 members in 28 clubs today!
The anniversary celebration was a festival of music and memories. Under the direction of Bernd Klotz, the Kötz wind orchestra ensured a rousing musical accompaniment. The Bayern anthem was sung powerfully, while a moving chorale was dedicated to the late members of the Gaues, including honorary member Gerhard Furnier, who played an important role in the Swabian rifle district and in the DSB Presidium. After the warm greetings, an entertaining program followed with Egerländer brass music, which put the guests in a party mood.
A feast for the community
The celebrations not only reflected the proud history of the rifle house, but also the strong community that shapes it. The rifle family was united and proud of their traditions, while at the same time they ventured into the future. This anniversary celebration was more than just an occasion to celebrate; It was a powerful sign of the cohesion and consistency of the rifle system in the region.
