The traditional bakery "Der Bäcker Kahl" in Frankfurt closed on January 12, 2025 after 40 years. Tasso Kahl, the 70-year-old owner, retires. TASSO Kahl, who never used finished mixes and always offered homemade products, only began his professional career at the age of 50 when he attended a vocational school to officially confirm his skills. Various professions followed before working in a bakery and finally took over a milk bar shop, which marked the beginning of his own bakery. Michael Kahl will be in sales at the successor in the future. The new operators, Diana Pak and Richard Phommavapy, are already planning a new patisserie that will combine French, German and South Korean influences.
