Senior brutally robbed in St. Georg: Brave passer-by stops perpetrator!
Hamburg – Shocking! A total of 400 euros were brutally taken from a senior citizen. In Hamburg-St. Georg played out the unbelievable scenario: two women attacked an 81-year-old man at an ATM. The brutal incident occurred in the middle of the night on November 10, 2024, precisely at 10:43 p.m. The senior was just taking off when he suddenly came into the criminals' sights.
With a hard push, the elderly man was pushed aside by one of the women, lost his balance and fell to the ground. Meanwhile, the accomplice quickly reached out and grabbed the 400 euros that the machine was spitting out. In the confusion that followed, the women initially escaped towards Stralsunder Strasse. But a brave passer-by didn't let it go and grabbed the attacker until the police arrived.
Police intervention
The officers from Police Department 11 arrested the 36-year-old Bulgarian at the scene and found several banknotes on her. Her partner in crime, a 23-year-old German, was later tracked down and arrested near Stralsunder Strasse. Thanks to an unknown helper, the police were able to achieve this success. Both women were immediately taken to the Hamburg remand prison and interrogated.
The criminal investigation department of the Mitte I robbery department is conducting the investigation and is publicly appealing for witnesses who may have seen something. Of particular interest are people who contributed to the quick arrest of the suspects. Information is urgently requested on 040 4286 56789.
