Filip, the 6-year-old skate star: Fürth now has the best skater hall!

A new paradise for skaters has opened its gates in Fürth! The former warehouse was transformed into an impressive rolling sports mecca, which offers one of the largest indoor skate offers in Bavaria with 1,300 square meters. Here young talents such as the six -year Filip Bestić, who already has two years of experience, can demonstrate their skills. "Driving here with others and doing tricks is absolutely great!" The little skater raves and whizzes through the hall with enthusiasm.

The new skate hall is the result of a successful cooperation between the city of Fürth and the local skate club "The Hub". Sebastian Fischer, who heads the city's youth work and is a passionate skater, accompanied the project right from the start. The city takes over the rent and at the same time returned responsibility to the skate community. This was actively included in the construction process in order to create an attractive offer for all roll athletes-from skateboarders to roller shoes to BMX fans.

An offer that inspires!

After ten years of waiting, the skaters in Fürth can finally breathe a sigh of relief! The new hall closes a large gap in the region's indoor skate offer. "Good indoor opportunities are not so easy for skaters," explains Fischer. Many skaters from Middle Franconia had to take long distances in order to be able to skate even in winter. Now there is the opportunity to purchase day tickets for just six euros and use the various ramps, half pipes and obstacles at Wehlauerstraße 48. No more illegal skating in parking garages!

In addition, the hall offers skate courses for all age groups, led by skate coach Olaf Küsgens. "We also have courses for adults, the oldest participant is 55 years old!" emphasizes Küsgens. Filip, who discovered his passion early on, is one of the youngest students. "It is never too late for the start," says the coach and encourages everyone to accept the challenge of skating. Thanks to the support of his parents, Filip can regularly come to the new hall and further develop his skills.
