On Saturday, December 14, 2024, a captivating organ concert will take place in the Neumünster in Würzburg at 4 p.m. District cantor Dmitri Grigoriev, a highly respected musician, will present works by renowned composers such as Pierre Dandrieu, Jean Langlais and Johann Sebastian Bach. This concert for the third Advent promises musical masterpieces on the impressive Klais organ and is expected with great anticipation by music lovers, it is reported POW.
Dmitri Grigoriev, born in Leningrad in 1979, has had an impressive musical career. After training at the conservatories in St. Petersburg and Kazan, where he passed his concert exams in 2007, he has lived in Germany since 2006. He successfully completed his B and A examinations at the University of Church Music in Herford. Grigoriev, winner of the organ improvisation competition “Westfalen-Impro 5”, passed his master’s exam in organ improvisation at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf in 2016. Since the winter semester of 2023-2024, he has been working as a lecturer in organ studies at the University of Sacred Music of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia, reports University of Church Music.
