In a shocking series of violent crimes, two women in Austria and Germany have been victims of brutal attacks in recent weeks. On January 29th, a 73-year-old woman from Graz was almost murdered in Graz. The incident took place at the Leonhard cemetery, where the elderly woman was attacked by an unknown attacker with a Stanley knife at her husband's grave. The pensioner was just able to inform the police before she was taken to the LKH University Hospital with serious injuries. She is now on the mend and has even been released from the hospital once, but so far there is no clue as to the perpetrator crown reported.

A similar attack occurred in Berlin-Neukölln on Friday morning. A man was attacked and seriously injured by several perpetrators on Ringbahnstrasse around 11 a.m. The attackers then fled the scene and the injured man was immediately taken to a hospital. The police have set up a murder squad to investigate the background to this attack, although the investigation is still in its early stages rbb24 reported.
