Job Rave in Dorsten: Celebrate, inform and shape the future!

On November 29th, the Old Town meeting point will be the scene of a rousing event: the Job Rave! Young people aged 16 and over meet here for an unforgettable night full of beats and information. Entry is free and the anticipation for the party is already palpable!

From 9 p.m., the open youth area “Downtown” is transformed into a pulsating party zone. DJ E_R!K will get the crowd dancing with his cool techno rhythms, while also focusing on important topics such as career choice and drug awareness. A highlight of the evening is the “alcohol glasses” course, which shows guests how alcohol influences perception. Experts from the West-Vest drug advice center are available to answer questions and provide information about prevention.

Career orientation and fun combined

The event is supported by the youth development department and the youth career assistance department of the city of Dorsten. With exciting VR glasses, participants can explore different professions and find out which job suits them. “Regardless of whether it’s creative, technical or social – there’s a lot of inspiration here,” explains Martina Lissner from the Youth Careers Association. Career advice from the employment agency will also be on site to offer the young people valuable information.

The organizers already have big plans: the Job Rave will not be a one-off event, but will take place four times a year in the future. “Come by, bring your friends and let’s celebrate together, get information and plan the next steps for your future,” calls Martina Lissner. And there is a special incentive for the first 30 guests on November 29th: McDonald’s McMenu vouchers are waiting for you!
