Light art in the HOCHHAUS: Annika Hippler illuminates Berlin-Hohenschönhausen
On Tuesday, November 26th, 2024, at 6 p.m., the studio in the HOCHHAUS in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen will be the scene of a fascinating light experience! The exhibition “what belongs together” by the talented light artist Annika Hippler opens its doors and promises to delight visitors with innovative light installations and kinetic works of art. This impressive show is open to all art lovers until February 3, 2025, except on public holidays - admission is free! Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Annika Hippler, born in West Berlin in 1978, uses light as her artistic medium and explores how light and movement influence our perception and the space around us. Her works are not only art, but also an invitation to experience the world in a new way. In this exhibition she addresses the dissolution of boundaries, both physical and emotional. What is particularly exciting is her focus on the different light temperatures that characterize the eastern and western parts of Berlin. She also deals with the homeopathic remedy “Murus Berlinensis (Berlin Wall)”, which is used to overcome emotional barriers - a powerful commentary on isolation and world-weariness in today's society.
An experience for the senses
Hippler's works are more than just visual impressions; they are an experience for all the senses. With her light installations, she transforms rooms and creates new perspectives that encourage the viewer to think. The exhibition “what belongs together” is a captivating exploration of the power of light and the human experience – a must for anyone who wants to experience the magic of art!
