Foxes Berlin dominate Potsdam: 36:26 victory in the brotherly duel!
There was no mercy in the exciting handball derby between VfL Potsdam and Füchse Berlin! The Potsdam team had to do without their star Cyrill Akakpo, while the Berlin team had to compete without Tobias Reichmann. The first few minutes were a real exchange of blows: Tim Freihöfer scored two seven-meter penalties for Potsdam, but the Füchse were not deterred and equalized through Nicolas Paulnsteiner and Max Günther (2:2, 4th).
The Foxes quickly picked up the pace and moved ahead to 10:6 by the 16th minute. Potsdam tried to stay in the game, but the Berliners were simply too strong. With impressive counterattacks from Manuel Strlek and Fabian Wiede, the Füchse increased their lead to 16:8 (22nd). Mathias Gidsel scored two late goals to ensure that the Foxes led 21:12 at halftime. A clear deficit for Potsdam!
