Bregenz celebrates variety: CSD Pride 2025 attracts the masses!

Kornmarktplatz, 6900 Bregenz, Österreich - on June 6th and 7th June 2025 takes place in Bregenz, at the Kornmarktplatz, the CSD Pride Vorarlberg. This event has set itself the goal of demonstrating and celebrating for acceptance, diversity and equality. Under the motto "We are all Vorarlberg!" The city of Bregenz invites all queer people, supporters: interior and citizens: inside and regional organizations to take part in the celebrations. A central part of the CSD Pride is the Pride Village, which offers numerous information stands of initiatives, associations and organizations of the LGBTIQ+ community. The route of the demonstration train leads across Seestrasse and Belruptstraße towards Leutbühel before going back to Kornmarktplatz via Kaiserstrasse. From 3:00 p.m. rallies and a stage program are planned at the Kornmarktplatz, where the community's voices can be heard. It is recommended to plan the journey by public transport in order to guarantee a smooth process.

history and meaning of the CSD

The CSD has its roots in the turbulent events of the Stonewall uprising from 1969 in New York City, which are considered the turning point in the global emancipation movement. After this uprising organized activist: Inside, like Bernd Gaiser, the first Christopher Street Day Parade in Berlin 1979, which is an important platform for the demands for tolerance and more rights. Today, CSD parades worldwide connects people who are committed to the rights of the LGBTIQ+ Community and organize the diversity. This tradition is also continued in Bregenz.
