In Großkarolinenfeld, a dramatic attack on a cash-in-transit truck shocked the region! On January 5th, two masked robbers stormed the cash-in-transit truck with a blank pistol that was supposed to transport 475,000 euros for the VR Bank. The perpetrators escaped undetected, but two men from Rosenheim are now standing before the Traunstein regional court who are suspected of being involved in the attack.
The 29-year-old Kolbermoorer and his 49-year-old father are charged with aggravated robbery and grievous bodily harm. The younger defendant was originally supposed to act as a “money messenger” while a 62-year-old drove the van. But mysteriously, the two switched roles, leading to the robbery. The masked men stormed into the van shouting “robbery” while the 62-year-old tried to close the door. He was injured in the scuffle while the robbers grabbed the money bomb and fled.
Witnesses report shocking experiences
The interviews with the witnesses reveal the shocking details. The 62-year-old, who was in the van during the attack, describes how he suffered nightmares for months after the incident and needed psychological help. Another witness who observed the attack reported shots fired and the perpetrators fleeing in panic. Despite the dramatic events, the money transporter's surveillance camera was unable to provide any footage, which further complicates the investigation.
The taking of evidence in the trial is already in full swing and the defense lawyers have requested comprehensive access to the files.
