on February 8, 2025 at 12.50 p.m., in Ehrwald, more precisely on blue slopes No. 10 (Isstental descent), there was a shocking incident, in which two German, a 60-year-old skier and a 34-year-old snowboarder, were seriously crazy. Both drove down the valley at the same time when there was a collision that both hurled ski and snowboard drivers to the ground. As a result of the strong collision, the snowboarder suffered serious injuries.
The 34-year-old was immediately flown to the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Clinic with an emergency medical helicopter, while the 60-year-old went into medical treatment independently and visited the hospital in Reutte. There he was inpatient due to a shoulder injury that had arisen during the fall. The severity of the injuries, in particular the snowboarder, has drawn attention to the security risks in winter sports, especially when different sports such as skiing and snowboarding are exercised on the same slopes.
