Garbage can thriller: East Frisian is looking for the collector's item of the 80s!
Alexander Smoljanovic, a 25-year-old garbage can collector from Wanzleben in Saxony-Anhalt, has a very special goal: he is looking for a dark brown 240-liter waste bin from the 1980s. This special bin was produced by the manufacturer Sulo in Herfurt and has great personal importance for Smoljanovic. Already in 2019 he had such a bin in the Aurich district, but unfortunately it broke.
Smoljanovic, which has over 200 garbage cans in various shapes, colors and sizes in his collection, started his passion with a miniature waste bin that a neighbor gave him. He sees his collection as a contribution to the preservation of history and the sensitization to the importance of garbage cans. Under the special pieces in his collection there is a dark brown Sulo waste bin from 1985, which he discovered in 2019. He damaged this bin by improper cleaning and later built it into an armchair.
search for the rare ton
To complete his collection, Smoljanovic continues to look for the dark brown garbage can. He has already used various online platforms, but has so far been unsuccessful. He already has property from a 120-liter ton from the manufacturer Sulo, which he found in Bamberg. If you should have a view of the ton you are looking for or can provide information, you can reach Smoljanovic on 0171 8005494 or by email at wbs.deutschland@gmail.com.
For more information about the 240-liter waste bin you are looking for, interested parties can visit the Sulo website at Sulo.de .
The creative approach of Smoljanovic shows how an supposedly ordinary collection can become an interesting and meaningful hobby.
