In a gripping duel in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL), the Eisbären Berlin triumphed again and celebrated their eleventh victory in a row! With a narrow 3-2 win against the Augsburg Panther in the sold-out Curt-Frenzel Stadium, the Berliners consolidate their top position in the table. The goals of Markus Niemeläinen, Marcel Noebels and Lean Bergmann secured the important success for the capitals.
In front of 6,179 euphoric viewers, the polar bears took control of the game from the start. In the seventh minute, never gave the guests the lead after a brilliant preparatory work by Ty Ronning. In the first third, Noebels increased to 2-0 and had the Berliners cheered. The dominance of the polar bears continued in the second third when Bergmann expanded the lead to 3-0 and the Augsburgers could hardly be dangerous. It was only thanks to her outstanding goalkeeper Strauss husband that it was not worse for the hosts.

But in the last third it got really exciting again! The Augsburgers did not give up and shortened by Mick Köhler to 1: 3. In the 58th minute, Cody Kunyk even made the connecting goal and had the hope for a turn. But the polar bears kept their nerves and ultimately secured the hard -fought victory, while the Panther remained frustrated.
