A 28-year-old man from Afghanistan was arrested in a park in the German city of Aschaffenburg after a knife attack. In the incident that took place on Wednesday, two people, including a toddler, were fatally injured, as the police said.

The suspect was arrested at the crime scene in the Schoentalpark, an English landscape park in the Bavarian city. The attack occurred around 11:45 a.m. local time (5:45 a.m.). According to the police, a 41-year-old man and a two-year-old boy suffered fatal injuries. In addition, two other seriously injured people are treated in the hospital.
