DLRG Amberg receives 1500 euros in donation - lifesaver for duck races!

The DLRG local group Amberg recently received a generous donation of 1500 euros, which was made available by Round Table 69 Amberg. This support is not only recognition for the work of the DLRG, but also shows the commitment of the community for security measures.

The DLRG local group was active for the fourth time this year at the traditional duck race, which is organized by the round table. The members not only had an eye on water security, but also used the opportunity to draw attention to their work with their own information stand. At this stand, visitors were able to gain interesting insights into the DLRG rescue and security functions. Equipped with a lifeboat and diving equipment, they even offered a first aid stand. Here the little guests had the chance to practice the cardiac massage on a doll and solve a large puzzle while a blue light vehicle invited you to be amazed.

The security situation in the duck race was monitored by 15 emergency services, especially youthful ones. Their tasks not only included the monitoring of the start and goal, but also the rescue of ducks that were stranded in the Vils river. Five DLRG members were deployed to recover the ducks from the water.

With the donation from Round Table, the DLRG local group will be able to acquire urgently needed equipment. These include high -performance lamps that are essential for nightly missions. These new lamps will enable the group to work more effectively even in the dark and to reach people faster in need.

It is a nice example of how the local community comes together to ensure that life rescue and security have a top priority. Such donations are not only financially valuable, but also strengthen the sense of community and commitment to security.
