Insolvency process against Alno Manager: Dawn at the kitchen business!

The bankruptcy process of Alno AG has started at the Stuttgart District Court. Two former board members are on trial for bankruptcy and infidelity, while a third accused is accused of aid for infidelity. Alno AG, a renowned kitchen manufacturer based in Pfullendorf, reported bankruptcy in July 2017. The Stuttgart public prosecutor suspects that the company was already insolent before the official bankruptcy.

As part of the insolvency proceedings, an investor took over essential parts of Alno. The kitchen production was initially continued, but later also had to register bankruptcy. A total of nine people were originally charged by the public prosecutor, while the procedure was hired against six people. The remaining three defendants will continue to be on trial in the trial until the beginning of September 2025.

claims and creditors

Insolvency administrator Martin Hörmann reported that 1268 creditors with claims of 1.68 billion euros are listed. Around 200 million euros of these claims were recognized as justified. In the fourth quarter of 2024, a preliminary release of ten percent was already made to the creditors whose demands were found in the bankruptcy table. The Stuttgart Regional Court is currently checking whether the indictment is admitted to the main hearing, a decision on this is still pending.

Alno had over 2,000 employees up to its bankruptcy and generated more than 500 million euros in sales at the best of time. The company was finally finally stopped in September 2021. Six years after the bankruptcy, the public prosecutor's office charges for bankruptcy, credit fraud, bankruptcy and infidelity against the former responsible, such as t-online.de and Stuttgarter Zeitung reported.
