Fire brigade Schwalmtal: Record sum by pawning for competitions!

In the REWE Markt of the Stüczen family in Amern, a great deposit collection campaign has been carried out for over a year to support the Schwalmtal fire brigade. As reported fireworld.at , a total of 909.60 euros could be collected thanks to the generous donations of the customers. The Stücke family added this amount by 390.40 euros, which ultimately resulted in a total donation of 1,300 euros. This sum was handed over to the fire brigade in February 2025, with those responsible Dirk Neikes and Timo Smets accepted the donation and expressed their thanks for the support of the population.

Financing for championships

The donated amount is used to support a newly formed group of fire brigade from Schwalmtal who would like to take part in the German Championships in the traditional international fire brigade competition this year. These important competitions take place in Böblingen (Baden-Württemberg) from July 10th to 13th, 2025. The money is used in particular for the catering and accommodation of the participants, who have to work not only precisely, but also in the team at these championships. The competence in these areas has already been shown in previous competitions, in which the fire trucks Amern and Waldniel were able to regularly achieve top positions.

The Schwalmtal volunteer fire brigade plays a crucial role for around 19,000 inhabitants in the community, as Schwalmtal.de . In order to be able to work efficiently, the fire brigade is dependent on a highly motivated offspring. Interested women and men are therefore cordially invited to become part of the fire brigade and to actively contribute to the community.
