Car burglar caught red-handed in Nuremberg – arrest warrant issued!
A spectacular car break-in was reported in Nuremberg city center early on Saturday morning, December 14, 2024. At around 4 a.m. two men broke into a parked Audi on Engelhardsgasse. While the two suspects were searching the vehicle for valuables, the vehicle owner unexpectedly arrived and alerted the police inFranken.de reported. The men were able to be held until a patrol arrived.
During the subsequent search by the officers, various items were found that came from the vehicle and had already been pocketed by the perpetrators. In addition, the police discovered additional car keys, the origin of which the two 47 and 48 year old men could not provide any credible explanations for Donaukurier.de.
The suspects were temporarily arrested. After the necessary measures relevant to the investigation, the 48-year-old was released. The 47-year-old, however, could not prove a permanent address, which is why the public prosecutor's office applied for arrest and an investigating judge issued an arrest warrant on suspicion of a particularly serious case of theft. The Nuremberg criminal police are taking over further investigations and checking possible additional theft crimes.
