At the same time, the AGÖ, a powerful advocacy group of over 5,200 farmers, presented its comprehensive “government program” in Vienna, which consists of more than 54 concrete suggestions. During the presentation, dairy farmer Martina Mittermayr and poultry manufacturer Manfred Muhr called for a "reduction in bureaucracy according to the motto 'More common sense instead of bureaucracy'". This program aims to increase the income of the farms and create a fair market environment for rural products. The AGÖ is convinced that a “farmer's billion” investment funds must flow in order to support agricultural businesses over several years. In addition, suggestions for the reorganization of the agricultural chambers are to be developed in order to make the registry representation more effective.

The AGÖ has announced that it is handing over its program to all parties represented in parliament in order not to allow any excuses in the discussion about agricultural issues.
