importance of leadership competence in elementary education
In view of the important role of managers in educational institutions, it is essential to acquire corresponding qualifications. According to a university course that is offered a world academy in cooperation with the KPH Vienna/Krems and Diakonie, managers in Viennese kindergartens and after -school care must demonstrate management training. Since the Vienna Kindergarten Act came into force in December 2017, at least five years of professional experience and well -founded management training have been absolutely necessary. This course deals with central topics such as quality management, personnel management, team development and management, communication, as well as conflict and complaint management. The comprehensive teaching plan also includes aspects of parent cooperation and public relations as well as legal and business basics of the kindergarten company. The graduates of this program thus receive the authorization to conduct a kindergarten, including a certificate with 19 ECTS assessment points.
