The formation of a new government in Austria is on the brink! While the Austro-Stampel, consisting of ÖVP, SPÖ and NEOS, forms, current surveys of today that the population is skeptical. Both parties disagree on how to implement savings and where new income should come from.
The discussion about whether a classic two-person coalition or the inclusion of a third partner makes sense. The ÖVP would prefer to be at the table with the NEOS, while the SPÖ could possibly prefer the Greens. In the meantime, the criticism of the FPÖ is growing, which campaigns for a stable two coalition under their leadership. So far, the parties have not agreed, and the next few days will be crucial to find out whether and how content -related agreements can be achieved.
