Focus schools in the district of Nienburg: period extended by 2030!

District of Nienburg. The decision has been made! The district of Nienburg has extended the transition period for the main schools by July 31, 2030. This regulation enables municipalities to select schools that are to be better equipped for inclusive education. Instead of treating all schools straight away, special focus schools can now be named that meet the individual support requirements.

The high schools Loccum and Hoya were set as a focus on funding. The OBS Marklohe also becomes a focus school as soon as the new building is obtained. But not all schools can be taken into account immediately: the OBS Uchte will only be named as a focus school in a few years, since the accessibility is not yet available.

In Nienburg there are no longer any special schools! Children with special educational support are now only included in regular schools. This also affects the focus of learning and language. Only in the primary area there is a special school, the Friedrich-Fröbel School Nienburg. In the event of strong support needs, the children usually attend a special school in Hanover, while most of them are already integrated in secondary schools.

The school buildings of high schools and IGS are considered inclusive, so that no more focus schools have to be named here. The administration of the district also sees no need for special focus schools in emotional and social support requirements. The inclusive education therefore takes up speed - and with full strength!
