The exciting art education programs "Youth discovers Vienna 1900" in the Leopold Museum continue their successful journey! Thanks to the generous support of the Chamber of Labor in Vienna , numerous free programs for students of all ages were offered in the school year 2024/2025. This initiative not only enables access to art, but also to deal with one of the most formative epochs in city history - the Vienna around 1900. This time was an urban melting pot of innovation, art and culture, with works of greats such as Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. The programs have been specially developed for children and adolescents who have traditionally offered limited access to cultural.

Innovative art mediation programs that are aimed not only at elementary school students, but also to 15 to 19-year-olds, are new. This was announced in Leopoldmuseum.org . The programs range from dialogue guides that promote the self -awareness and creativity of the participants, to creative studios in which they can create their own works of art. Topics such as "being and appearance" or "poetry of the ornament" invite the young people to deal with the historical and modern aspects of art, and offer captivating insights into the complex reality of Vienna.The director of the Leopold Museum, Hans-Peter Wipplinger, emphasizes how important these programs are for the cultural education of young people. The cooperation and commitment of AK Vienna made it possible to give access to these valuable art and cultural experiences last season.
