Mayor Christian Härting presents the balanced budget 2025 in Telfs with a focus on education, social affairs and infrastructure.

The municipality of Telfs proudly presents its new budget for 2025, which was unanimously decided at the meeting on December 19, 2024. Mayor Christian Härting announced that the mammoth budget comprises a total volume of 54 million euros. Despite the difficult financial framework, a balanced household could be presented. The social security contributions to the state of Tyrol increase to 12 million euros, while the income from federal income shares stagnates. Because of these challenges, the mayor demands targeted structural reforms at state and federal level to relieve the municipalities. Where is it invested? A total of 12 million euros flow into education and childcare, including projects such as the Einberger school center, encounter zones, children's playgrounds and flood protection. The fire brigade will also be equipped with a new tank fire truck. Härting emphasizes that the reserves remain untouched and the debt is slightly decreased.

Tirol's solid financial policy

In parallel, the Tyrolean state government under finance officer LH Anton Mattle has decided on the budget for 2025, which will be presented to the state parliament for decision -making. The net debt is significantly reduced compared to previous years, and Tyrol remains the leading with a per capita debt of 1,704 euros in Austria comparison. In the coming year, payments of six billion euros are planned, while deposits of 5.72 billion euros are expected. The goal remains clear: a zero deficit is sought for 2026. Mattle expects from all departments that savings potential are used to gain financial scope for important priorities. Significant investments are made, especially in the areas of health, education and living. For 2025, among other things, 1.23 billion euros are provided for the healthcare system, while in the education sector 84 million euros are also provided, which underlines the efforts to invest in these essential areas in order not to burden future generations with high debts.
