Coburg's educational offensive: future -proof cooperation for diversity!

The city of Coburg has launched a new initiative to make the educational landscape on site more efficient and future -oriented. Through the close cooperation of the Demography, Education & Family, the Regional Development Agency for Municipal Education Management Bavaria (Reab) Bavaria North, various players in the field of education are to be networked more closely. The reab has taken on the role of the transfer agency Bavaria since the beginning of 2024, which is intended to improve cooperation and exchange of experiences within the region.

The 3rd Mayor Can Aydin emphasizes how important education is for the development of individuals and the entire city. "Coburg has been committed to the field of education for a long time," he explains. Education is not only a basis for personal development, but also crucial for the sustainable development of the city. This partnership with the Reab is an essential element to optimize the educational infrastructure over the coming years.

Focus plans in educational work

In Coburg, the current efforts focus in particular on several central topics. An important focus is on the legal entitlement to all -day care for children and the promotion of media literacy in schools. The transition from school to work is supported by the creation of a youth professional agency Coburg, which adapts career orientation measures to the needs of youth.

Tina Pohl, employee in the staff center, explains: "The network strives to identify gaps in career orientation and to close them in a targeted manner." In particular, attention should be paid to professions with high needs, such as nurses and educational specialists. The coordination of these diverse offers is promoted by Bianca Haischberger, the head of the staff position, to sustainably strengthen the educational opportunities in Coburg and the region.

"Our goal is to promote a wide range of educational offers that are open to all citizens," emphasizes Haischberger. In cooperation with Reab Bavaria, new impulses are set to enrich the educational offer for the entire city. In order to formalize this cooperation, a cooperation agreement was signed that defines the future course of educational work in Coburg.

The city administration relies on continuously expanding the existing educational networks in order to successfully master current and future challenges in the education sector. Aydin and Haischberger agree: the changes in the educational landscape must be addressed proactively so that Coburg will continue to remain an attractive education region in the future.
