Bavaria digitizes building applications: 13 new authorities on duty!
Dillingen an der Donau, Deutschland - More and more building supervisory authorities in Bavaria are relying on digital building applications. According to municipality21 since January 2025, a total of 13 other authorities have been offering this modern service. By the end of 2024, 93 building supervisory authorities can already accept digital building applications.
The new participants in 2025 include the district offices Coburg, Dillingen a.d. Donau and Haßberge as well as the cities of Deggendorf, Germering and Waldsassen. Overall, the authorities involved cover more than 90 percent of the Bavarian population. The Minister of Construction Christian Bernreiter emphasizes the positive experiences with the digital building application: it enables simplified application for planners and more efficient processing for the building supervisory authorities.

Digital Minister Fabian Mehring emphasizes the numerous advantages of digitization for applicants and the construction industry. The digital building application was developed by the State Ministry of Housing, Building and Transport in cooperation with the State Ministry of Digital and the IT Service Center in Bavaria. The goal is to expand the scope of the digital building application across the board in Bavaria. Minister of Building Bernreiter expresses the wish that the digital building application will soon also be introduced in other cities and municipalities.
