Start of construction for educational campus: Future of the children in St. Jakob secured!

Construction of the third phase of the educational campus has officially started in St. Jakob in the Rosental. The project, which aims to combine all educational paths from kindergarten to the Matura under a common roof, is considered an important step for the future by the community. The campus, which already includes a kindergarten, a daycare center, a elementary school and a middle school, is expanded by new facilities and a sports facility.

Investments of around 3.8 million euros are provided for the third construction phase. Among other things, this sum should enable the construction of three additional group rooms in kindergarten and three groups in the daycare center. Since the construction is modularly designed, the possibility of future extensions of the campus remains, which benefits families in the region and increases the attractiveness of the community to promote moving to St. Jakob in the Rosental.

Details on project development

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new educational campus took place last Thursday. Numerous representatives, including LH Peter Kaiser, LT President Reinhart Rohr and Education Director Robert Klinglmair, took part in this symbolic ceremony. Mayor Heinrich Kattnig and architect Gerhard Kopeinig were also present.

The educational campus will also offer toddler care and inclusive lessons in the future. In addition, an integration of the previous elementary school locations Rosenbach and Maria Elend is planned, which are integrated into the new concept. The total investment for the entire project amounts to around 4.5 million euros. These efforts should offer a modern approach to education and ensure access to educational institutions in the direct neighborhood.

Education as a key to a successful future

While the education system is under pressure in many countries, including Germany, the new campus in St. Jakob in the Rosental focuses on innovative approaches and investments. The challenges in the German education system are considerable, with falling student performance, a lack of teachers and outdated teaching methods. For example, the latest PISA study shows that Germany falls back in the areas of mathematics, natural sciences and reading.

In comparison, Austria invests appropriately in education and does better in international comparisons. In order to sustainably improve the educational landscape, it is crucial not only to take short -term measures, but also to develop long -term strategies to improve educational offers. Experts therefore recommend an increase in educational expenses and a comprehensive modernization of schools in order to meet the increasing requirements.

The educational campus in St. Jakob in the Rosental thus represents an important step into the future, in which the educational opportunities for children in the region are to be significantly improved by modern facilities.
