Bird flu in Salzburg: Stable obligation extended - what's coming now?

Salzburg, Österreich - In Salzburg, the situation around bird flu remains tense. For three months, chickens, geese and ducks in parts of the Flachgau and in the city of Salzburg have been obliged to stay in their stables to prevent the virus from spreading. Ministry of Health Franz Wieser described that the risk of infection was still high and that one had to expect a possible second wave in spring. A relaxation of the situation is expected in the summer at the earliest, while the poultry industry in Salzburg hopes for a lifting of the stable obligation at Easter, as Hans-Peter Kreiseder, the chairman, expressed. So far, however, there is no information about the continuation of the stable obligation from Vienna.

termination contracts in focus

In another important topic, more and more workers deal with the possibility of ending their employment relationship through a termination agreement. Such a contract model can be particularly interesting if both employees and employers strive for a quick termination of the employment relationship. The advantage of a termination agreement is that the statutory notice periods can be avoided, which enables a faster switch to a new employment. As soon as both parties agree, negotiations can also negotiate a severance payment, which increases the attractiveness of this solution, as reported by the ARFFICHTECTION.

However, it must be noted that a termination contract must be concluded formally correctly and in writing. If the employer does not agree, employees often face the challenge of complying with the notice periods or even risking termination without notice. In addition, there is a risk that a blocking period in the event of unemployment benefit will be imposed, especially if the termination of the employment relationship is not demonstrably carried out by an important reason. It is therefore recommended to claim legal advice before signing in order to avoid possible disadvantages and to make the conditions as advantageous as possible
