Promise for nature: Gesäuse National Park receives more money!
Nationalpark Gesäuse, Österreich - The Gesäusche National Park, an iconic natural paradise in Styria, has reason to be happy! As Orf Styria , the state of Styria and the federal government decided by five percent. This decision marks the first time that the country is making an inflation adjustment after the federal government has taken the corresponding steps since 2022. With this increase, the budget increases to an impressive 2.45 million euros, whereby the state of Styria provides 1.225 million euros.
This increase is considered crucial for the economic stability of the national park. Nature Conservation Councilor Hannes Amesbauer (FPÖ) emphasized that this step ensures the valuable work of the entire national park team. State Councilor Simone Schmiedtbauer (ÖVP) also emphasized the strong partnership of the Styrian State Forest, which have been active in natural space management in the national park since the beginning, such as Kleine Zeitung reported. This raising takes place in the context of a rolling inflation rate, which improves the real purchasing power of the funds for the national park.
