A heart-warming action took place today on the Feldkirchner weekly market: The members of the Rotary Club Feldkirchen-Osiacher See sold over 30 kilograms of homemade cookies to collect donations for the organization Camphill Liebenfels, which takes care of people with disabilities. The collected proceeds of 2,000 euros were handed over by President Gerlinde Murko-Modre to the managing director Kerstin Hoi during the Rotarian Christmas party. This support is particularly important because Camphill Liebenfels plans a large project to create a barrier -free and age -appropriate cultivation for its older residents.
a strong legacy
In addition, there is an important historical background to the facility: The Camphill movement was founded under the influence of Karl König, an Austrian doctor who implemented his vision of a healing community 75 years after the first pioneer group moved into the Scottish estate "Camphill". King, who came from a Jewish background, campaigned for an inclusive society in which people with special needs are regarded not only as a recipient of help, but also as valuable members of the community. These ideals drive the Camphill communities worldwide and have produced over 100 settlements in 24 countries that live on the concept of social responsibility.
During the ceremonial handover of the donations, the gratitude for the support of the rotorians became clear, since this is a decisive contribution to work for people with disabilities. Camphill Liebenfels is grateful for every euro that helps to create the prerequisites for a self -determined life of the residents. If you want to help, you can contact the managing director directly at office@camphill.at or use the donation account with the IBAN AT02 6000 0000 0761 6167, as meinbezirk.at . The legacy of Karl König - from Compassion and Lived Inclusion - continues in his ideas and deeds, such as Zeitschmenschen.at shown.
