Havelnars are moving: New clubhouse in a former call center!
The Carnival Club Havelarren (KCH) found a new clubhouse in Brandenburg an der Havel. The move takes place to a former open-plan office of the Arvato call Center in Wilhelmsdorfer Landstrasse. According to KCH Vice President Matthias Pichelbauer, a long-term rental agreement was signed that begins on April 1st.
The KCH, which has over 180 members, needs space for an office and for dance training rooms. The property, which has been vacant for about two years, is extensively rebuilt. The division of the approximately 450 square meter open -air office into several rooms, the renewal of all soils, the new cabling of the electrical system and the removal of three leaks on the roof are planned. The KCH leaves its old clubhouse in Fohrder Landstrasse, where it has been based since 2015 to enable commercial use of the rooms. The old rental agreement has already been terminated.
Havel stars with new challenges
The Havelars had rented the casino of the former Roland barracks in the Brandenburg business park almost ten years ago. During the takeover, the condition of the building was documented together with experts. Originally, the Havel rabbits hoped to be able to acquire the property after their 10-year lease. Instead, they now received a termination.
In a crisis discussion, in which representatives of the city of Brandenburg also took part, alternative solutions were discussed. The city offers the vacant old service center in Hohenstücken as a possible new location. Honorary President Koch visited the property together with the head of the city's property management. However, the new perspective for the Havelnars brings a lot of work, especially in the foolish time.
