Successful vocational training: Young people start working life!

In the Moselle Land workshops in Treis, seven young people with disabilities have successfully completed their vocational training. At a solemn ceremony, they received their certificates that mark the start of working life. The educational offer is aimed especially at people with disabilities and includes various options for integration into the labor market.

Essential elements of the training form the workshops in Treis, Ebernach and Niederfell, in which the participants implement their own projects. These include a recipe book, a sports emblem, a board game and a wooden shelf. The training not only offers the participants practical skills, but also the chance of professional qualifications that should lead to integration into working life.

like the Mosellandwerkstätten , the vocational training sector with disabilities enables self -determined participation in working life. During the entire measure, the participants have an educational attendant as a permanent caregiver.

The measure is based on the current legal regulations and the specialist concept of the Federal Employment Agency. The initial procedure, which usually lasts three months, serves to determine the suitability for the workshop and the identification of suitable work areas. The decision to participate in the initial procedure is made in the specialist committee. The processes are regulated uniformly and the professional skills are determined by diagnostic procedures such as Hamete and Hamet2.

The participants receive training in theoretical and practical areas over a period of two years, whereby the individual specialization is in the foreground in a certain field of work. The aim is to impart the participants into an employment with the Mosellandwerkstätten, into a further educational measure or on the general labor market. Internships and internships also provide a first insight into the production and the various working groups.
