Israel's military kills four doctors in the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza

On Friday, four doctors killed in the Kamal Adwan hospital in besieged northern Gaza after Israeli forces stormed the site and killed or injured dozens of people in the surrounding areas, reported eyewitnesses to CNN.

Evacuation and coercion

The Israeli troops also forced medical staff and patients to evacuate the hospital and destroy important medical supplies, according to Dr. Hussam Abu Saifya, the director of the hospital. In the early morning hours of Friday, the Israeli military sent two civilians to the hospital who ran over a megafon that they should evacuate, added Abu Saifya. During the two -hour raid, a “large number of” young men were arrested, including health workers and Palestinians who had been looking for refuge.

Intensive military action

The Israeli Quadro-Copter opened a fire with an "intensive and direct shelling", while military vehicles surrounded the site, Abu Saifya recalled and continued to report that the patients, displaced persons and health workers in the courtyard were raised and violently brought to a control point further south, towards Gaza city.

"First there were a number of air raids on the northern and western sides of the hospital, accompanied by intensive and direct fire," said Abu Saifya in a statement on Friday. "I was approached and asked me to evacuate all patients, displaced persons and the medical staff, and gathered everyone in the courtyard in the courtyard to force them to be checked."

Effects on medical staff

Members of an Indonesian delegation of doctors - the only team held operations in the Kamal Adwan Hospital - were among those who were forced to go and not be allowed to return, said Abu Saifya.

At least 30 people died through Israeli bombing on houses around the Kamal Adwan Hospital overnight, reported Dr. Munir al Bursh, the General Director of the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

On Thursday, an Israeli drone met a 16-year-old boy in a separate attack, while he entered the X-ray department of the hospital with a wheelchair, said Abu Saifya CNN.

At the Israeli army, CNN asked for comment on the allegations of Abu Saifya.

Since the beginning of the Israeli war in Gaza after the attacks on October 7, at least 1,050 health workers have been killed, according to the Ministry of Health in Ramallah. The Israeli army started a new attack on three cities in northern Gaza on October 5 and stated that it is targeting Hamas' presence in the region.
