ASTM strengthens customer loyalty: direct sales of the Compass platform started!
ASTM International announced on September 5, 2025 that it has terminated its long-standing distribution partnership with Accuris (formerly IHS). This decision comes in response to increasing customer demand for digital formats and workflows. Through direct sales, ASTM aims to enable closer collaboration with its customers and improve the usability of its offerings. Andy Kireta, President of ASTM, thanked Accuris for the cooperation so far and wished him all the best for the future.
The termination of the partnership is part of a major overhaul of ASTM's IT infrastructure that was recently completed. The improvements to the ASTM Compass® platform now allow expanded solutions for standards users. ASTM Compass subscribers benefit from a range of new features and content that improve usability and access to key standards.

Participation in the Digital Standards Alliance
Additionally, ASTM International has announced its membership in the Digital Standards Alliance (DSA. This alliance promotes best practices in digital standards and is part of SAE International's Industry Technologies Consortia (SAE-ITC). The aim of this initiative is to implement efficient digital standards, particularly in the mobility industry, which includes transportation solutions at sea, land and air. ASTM expects from his participation ensures quality, compliance and integration in the development cycle is improved.
