Christmas Eve in Friedberg: Celebrate Christmas alone together
Christmas Eve is just around the corner and for many people that means special moments with family. But what about those who are alone? Hospice Aid Wetterau offers a warm alternative: “Christmas Eve in Community” under the direction of former pastor Gisela Theis. During her 27 years of service at the hospital, Theis has been able to collect many memories of contemplative evenings. “That’s where the light shines most in the darkness,” she explains. On this unique evening, which will take place on December 24th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Fichtenstraße 4 in Friedberg, lonely people are warmly invited to find support and community, as well as on fnp.de is reported.
An unforgettable evening of community
The event not only offers a rich dinner, the content of which remains a surprise, but also a get-together in which singing, telling stories and making new acquaintances can be made. “We ask all participants to bring something to eat so that a lavish table can be set together” – said the invitation from Hospicehilfe Wetterau. For those who would like to watch the cooking together, an introduction session will be held where everyone can light a tea light for cherished memories. Theis mentions that it is important to create a space for participants to express their emotions, even if it sometimes leads to tears. “Some are complete strangers, but there’s no reason to be shy,” she explains. The evening should also offer support and comfort, because those present often share similar experiences fr.de reported.
The invitation still stands as only three participants are currently registered. A special event that offers space for up to eight guests is an opportunity to escape loneliness and interact with other people. Gisela Theis encourages you to take courage and see this special evening as an opportunity to shed light into the darkness.
