Festive opening of the Advent village: A brilliant atmosphere in Steyr!

Last weekend the Advent village on the main square in Zeltweg was ceremoniously opened. The visitors were welcomed with an impressive event, while the festively decorated Christmas tree and the magnificent nativity scene already spread the anticipation of Christmas. Fire brigade shells provided cozy warmth, while the numerous stalls offered mulled wine, rolls, sweets and handicrafts. The tower brass of the factory band opened the evening musically, followed by performances by the children from the elementary school, the AGV Stahlklang Neu and the pop and gospel choir “Ädesmal ANDERS” from Graz, like meinkreis.at reported.

In Steyr, the varied Advent program from Wednesday to Sunday invites you to festive highlights. Every Wednesday, the music of the Advent brass band can be heard on the town hall balcony from 5 p.m., while at 6 p.m. the evening in the Advent village is celebrated with a live DJ. The highlights include the entrances of Schuhplattler and various concerts that take place every weekend. For example, on November 22nd, the Advent season will be rung in with a musical inauguration by the deputy mayor and the school children, accompanied by traditional Advent brass bands. There are also numerous events at which the Steyr Christ child reads stories and Santa Claus appears steyr.at added.

With these festive openings and varied programs, the pre-Christmas period in both cities will be a special experience for young and old, artfully combining the anticipation of the festival of celebrations.
