On November 4, 2025, an unfortunate accident occurred on the B171 in the municipality of Zams, Tyrol. In the early afternoon, a nine-year-old boy drove his scooter onto a protective path without warning. At that moment, a car driven by a 50-year-old Slovakian approached this innocent group of children.
Despite the driver's immediate braking, a collision eventually occurred. The boy fell and remained seriously injured on the road. Eyewitnesses, including passers-by present, did not hesitate and immediately provided first aid, while at the same time alerting emergency services.
Rescue and transport
The injured child was immediately taken to the Zams district hospital. The severity of the injuries was initially reported as undetermined. However, thanks to the quick actions of passers-by, the boy was able to receive medical help promptly.
Although the child's condition cannot yet be finally assessed at the time of reporting, it is a clear indication of how important safety precautions in traffic are. Accidents like this highlight the need for more education and measures to protect children, especially in busy areas.
