The new season of the win2day ICE Hockey League began on September 12, 2025 with an exciting opening game. The VSV played away against league newcomers FTC Budapest and won 4-2. This encounter not only marked the first matchday, but also FTC Budapest's first appearance in the league.

The regular season of the win2day ICE Hockey League will be held in two round robins. Each of the 13 teams plays a total of 48 games, and the entire season runs until the end of February. A tie after regulation time results in an endless sudden death overtime in the elimination games.
