A dramatic incident has shaken the SPG Lustenau/Dornbirn! After an official's shooting incident, coach Klaus Stocker is now faced with an enormous problem. As the crown reported, the incident has resulted in a media tsunami that has left the team in turmoil. Now the players are preparing for the upcoming Bundesliga game against Linz/Kleinmünchen - but in an extremely tense situation. Stocker expressed his concern: “Unfortunately we have already lost face, but we now have to get the last game before the break across well.”
Sudden departures and new opportunities
As a result of the incident, five players who were only partially involved in the controversy were released by mutual consent. These include the two Finnish goalkeepers Fanny Söderström and Frieda Jensen, which puts the team in a difficult situation. Coach Stocker regrets being “humanly disappointed in some of them.” However, there is a glimmer of hope: Emily Bischof-Fuchs, who was a former goalkeeper in the Future Team, could make her debut in the Bundesliga. “We let her decide whether she wants to play,” said Stocker.

The basis is formed by concepts aimed at personality development and team development, as well as the involvement of parents in the training process. The EU project “iCoachKids” has published important materials that aim to strengthen trainers’ skills in working with children. These educational resources are free to access and can be integrated into training. In this context, experiences from the Science crucial to link practice and theory in sport.
As the team prepares for the upcoming game, it remains to be seen how they will overcome the challenges. With the hope of a positive outcome in terms of the sporting development and the stability of the club, the focus is now even more on the next game.
