Hit attack: turn of the year with laughter and hits from the 50s!
The anticipation for New Year's Eve is increasing because Michael Niavarani and Viktor Gernot invite you to the big New Year's show on ORF with their entertaining program "Schlageranfall". On December 30, 2024 at 8:15 p.m. it will be live from the Globe Vienna, where the duo, accompanied by three talented ladies - Katharina Dorian, Jennifer Frankl and Ariana Schirasi-Fard - will bring classics from the 50s and 60s to life. Loud oe24.at The event was born out of a deep longing for shared creativity and combines singing, humor and live music for an evening full of surprises.
In this colorful mix of singing, double conferences and sketchy interludes, the audience should not only sway, but also laugh heartily. Gernot and Niavarani have taken up topics such as feminism, body shaming and wokeness and also bring critical jokes to the stage. The two discussed how important it is to use humor correctly and that comedy can also cross the boundaries of what can be said in order to address relevant topics, like Niavarani in one Interview with ORF TV explained. "It's often so wonderfully about nothing. I can reassure you if you're afraid of the Third World War: Tipitipitipso with calypso everything will be fine again," says the cabaret artist, who also enchants the audience with his mixture of nostalgia and humor.
The humor of the two cabaret greats is seen as a kind of therapy - on the advice of a therapist, the “hit attack” was transformed into a rousing stage program. With hits from luminaries such as Caterina Valente, Peter Alexander and Gus Backus, the audience is taken into the glamorous world of old hits. The numerous sketches, including a humorous reinterpretation of a Georg Danzer classic, leave no eye dry Cult party with cult potential promises. The show combines nostalgic sounds with current humor and gave the turn of the year a brilliant finale.
