The Stade Malherbe Caen triumphed in the 7th Tour of the Coupe de France with an impressive 4-0 win against C’Chartres and thus qualified for the next round! The Caennais showed from the start that they are determined to progress. In the first half, Bilal Brahimi (3′ & 39′), Mickaël Le Bihan (7′) and Alexandre Mendy (23′) ensured a furious result.
The goals came in quick succession: Brahimi opened the game with a precise shot from a back pass from Mendy, followed by a sensational volley from Le Bihan. Mendy also didn't let up and increased the score with a powerful free kick. Brahimi crowned his performance with another goal just before half-time. C’Chartres couldn’t even pose a threat in the first half while Caen remained in control of the game.
