Tests show: children's travel waffles more dangerous than expected!
An alarming investigation by the Association for Consumer Information (VKI) showed that numerous rice waffles from discounters, drugstores and supermarkets pose health risks. In the tests that included 22 different waffles, including children's products, questionable pollutants such as acrylamide, heavy metals (arsenic, lead, cadmium) and mold poison were found. The results are sobering because many parents who believe that they do something good with special children's waffles could expect the opposite, such as krone.at reported.
Interestingly, the test results show that conventional rice waffles that are intended for adults often contain fewer sugar and are less often contaminated with pollutants. This throws a new light on the price and the quality of the children's waffles, which are not only smaller, but also up to three times more expensive than their regular counterparts. On average, the cost of children's waffles is 30 euros per kilogram compared to around 10 euros for normal waffles.Current offers in the food trade
