Tests show: children's rice cakes are more dangerous than expected!
An alarming study by the Association for Consumer Information (VKI) has shown that numerous rice cakes from discounters, drugstores and supermarkets pose health risks. The tests, which included 22 different waffles, including children's products, found pollutants of concern such as acrylamide, heavy metals (arsenic, lead, cadmium) and mold toxins. The results are sobering, as many parents who think they are doing something good for their children with special children's waffles might expect the opposite krone.at reported.
Interestingly, the test results show that conventional rice cakes intended for adults often contain less sugar and are less likely to be contaminated with harmful substances. This sheds new light on the price and quality of children's waffles, which are not only smaller but also up to three times more expensive than their regular counterparts. On average, the cost of children's waffles is 30 euros per kilogram, compared to around 10 euros for normal waffles.
