Ozapping is! Schweizerhaus opens with beer price surprise in Vienna
The legendary Swiss house in the Vienna Prater, a popular contact point for tourists and locals, will open its doors again on March 15 after the winter break. This year the cult cup has been celebrating for 105 years. The operators, Hanni and Karl Kolarik, have a big secret in the middle of increasing catering prices: the price for a Krügerl remains 5.90 euros, just like in the previous year. This does not exceed the psychologically important 6 euro limit, which increases the anticipation of the guests for a cool beer, accompanied by the popular stilts and potato buffers. This information was confirmed by OE24.at.
The 2024 season brings a slight increase in price, which Kolariks deliberately want to keep moderate. Compared to the price adjustments last year, in which the price increased by 40 cents to 5.60 euros, the current adjustment of 5.90 euros is only 30 cents or 5.2 percent. This decision comes in times of inflation and increasing cost of living, as Meinzirk.at reported. Karl Kolarik emphasized that the price increase for the guests wanted to keep them as low as possible in order to meet them in these challenging times.
The Swiss house will herald the new season with the traditional “Ozapft is” on March 15. The anticipation for a social spring trip is great, especially since the weather in the Prater is always inviting. While the city of Vienna is preparing for the opening, guests can look forward to a relaxed time outdoors, with a Krügerl beer and the proven well -kept experience in the Swiss house.
