On November 11th, the traditional St. Martin's Day festival took place in the parish Caritas kindergarten in Bad Schallerbach, where the parent representative group provided a culinary feast. Kindergarten children offered freshly baked cookies and children's punch, which could be purchased for voluntary donations. Parallel to St. Martin's Day, the winter village in Bad Schallerbach also blooms in new splendor. From November 15th to December 31st, 2024, the festively decorated winter village on Rathausplatz invites visitors to immerse themselves in the pre-Christmas spirit. With a new hut concept and magical lighting, guests can expect a varied program. There are not only culinary delights for the whole family, but also a 200 square meter artificial ice surface, which offers a fun experience for the little ones with free ice skates and fun ice skating aids vitalwelt.at informed.
A special highlight are the “Blue Light Days”, on which the volunteer fire brigade, the Red Cross and the police give insights into their working world, as well as a spectacular Perchten run that gives you goosebumps. Program highlights also include performances by local artists and a highly anticipated New Year's Eve event that invites visitors to celebrate. The winter village, which has enjoyed great popularity since its first edition in 2013, will become an indispensable part of the Christmas season in the region in 2024 thanks to the committed renovations by the WIR.BadSchallerbach association.
