A spectacular incident in Seefeld occurred on December 28, 2024: A 53-year-old American got on the cross-country ski run "B3-Wildmoos See" by car. As the ORF TIROL , the man followed his navigation device when he turned on the prepared trail instead of the Lottensee. The car continued over half a kilometer before he wanted to turn back due to oncoming cross -country skiers. But unexpectedly his vehicle sank in the fresh, non -prepared fresh snow.

When the car stuck, other skiers called the police. This was able to quickly organize a slope device to carry the car back to the forest road. The entire use lasted around two and a half hours, which is why the trail had to be prepared on a distance of 550 meters.
