Shots in the skater park: Police advise to caution in Floridsdorf for caution!

On Friday evening there was a dramatic incident in the skater park in Vienna-Floridsdorf that called the police on the scene. The incident in which the witnesses of "Allahu Akbar" calls reported during the shot led, led to a large-scale police operation, in which the special unit Wega was also integrated. Anrainer filmed the incident and transmitted the material to the daily newspaper "Today". At the scene of the crime, projectiles were ensured that could come from a modified shock pistol. Despite the immediate search in the area of the Floridsdorf station, however, the suspects remained undetected and escaped before the emergency services arrived. reactions of the authorities

the police are important to prevent such incidents in the future. Markus Dittrich announced a focus campaign on weekends to prevent similar incidents. The worries about the increasing youth crime in Vienna are not unfounded. The Ministry of the Interior is concerned about increasing number of cases in unknown perpetrators, especially in the event of severe abuse, robbery and violence.

In the context of new measures to combat youth crime, Interior Minister Gerhard Karner and Minister of the Constitution Karoline Edtstadler presented measures last year that aim to protect children, raise young people and to hold violent offenders. This includes the introduction of a regulated regular instruction by the police for minors that have been punishable for the first time. Security police case conferences are also to be created in order to strengthen the cooperation between the police and the youth protection authorities.

The incident in the skating park not only represents a single event, but also throws a light on a bigger problem of youth crime, which has repeatedly come into focus in Austria in recent years.
