Terrible misfortune on the Inn Valley motorway: truck driver dies in the event of an accident!

Inntalautobahn, Österreich - A tragic accident on the Inn Valley Autobahn (A93) severely affected the traffic currents on Saturday morning. At around 6:40 a.m., a 44-year-old Ukrainian truck driver died in a rear-end collision after he was unchecked at the end of the traffic jam. The driver was trapped in the driver's cab, and the emergency doctor could only find death, as the Rosenheim traffic police reported. The incident occurred as part of a truck block handling, which regularly leads to massive traffic jams on the highway. A total of three trucks and a car were involved in the accident, with the other drivers only slightly injured. Among the truck was one who was loaded with dangerous goods, the other paper rolls transported.

traffic disruptions and rescue work

The rescue work of the truck concerned is currently ongoing and should be completed by around 2 p.m. This means that further traffic disruptions on the Inntal Autobahn are to be expected, especially towards Kiefersfelden, where the traffic builds up from the Inntaldreieck. In the direction of Rosenheim, the vehicles have to drive slower due to the rescue work on the left lane. At the Reischenhart junction, the traffic is distributed and back on the A93 at AS Brannenburg, as the traffic police confirmed.

In addition to the salvage campaign, the Inn Valley Autobahn experienced massive traffic disruptions because the vehicles only slowly advance. The police have observed the situation since the early hours of the morning and set up additional strips to control the situation. According to Wolfgang Weninger, the deputy head of the Tyrol traffic police, there are special measures on weekends to minimize the risk of further accidents, especially in traffic jams. Fortunately, there were no further serious traffic accidents or weather -related disorders on Saturday, which reduced at least part of the load for the drivers.

The situation remains tense and the road users are asked to show patience and, if possible, to choose alternative routes. The police appealed to the drivers to drive carefully and to stick to the traffic regulations to avoid further incidents.
